New York City – Present Day

Mae Dunstan recently learned that she was the lost heiress of a massive inheritance. Prior to this, she had spent most of her life living in Australia with her mother and brother under assumed names because her father was a terrible person who had threatened their mother. But Mae is now in the United States and one of her first functions is to spend a night at her newly discovered aunt’s Hampton mansion for a party. Wanting a breather from meeting all these people, she slips out of the mansion—and promptly runs into the next-door neighbor, Sebastian Newport. He is nice and a bit amused by her declaration that all these people she just met are stuffy. But it is the start of a nice friendship. Unfortunately, Mae doesn’t realize until later that Seb owns half of the company that she, along with her brother, has shares in. And he wants their half.

Everyone around Mae in OVERNIGHT INHERITANCE warns her that Seb can’t be trusted. But the single father of a little boy can’t be all that bad because he has been kind to her. He insists to her that although he did want to buy their shares, he is content to work with her and her brother Heath. Time spent together only has Mae’s faith in Seb growing. For his part, he likes her. He isn’t looking to trick her, though behind the scenes his mean and nasty father hopes that is what he’s doing. But Mae’s family continues to distrust their growing relationship, one that soon becomes sexual. Will something happen to upend their relationship?

Seb grew up with a father who was (and continues to be) mean and spiteful. His father is a cutthroat businessman and would gyp a person out of their last cent if he had the opportunity. Seb isn’t like that. He fell into marriage with his long-time sweetheart, and they had a little boy, Alfie. But she developed cancer and died mere months later. What happened has left its mark on him. He is now stopping to smell the roses. The addition of Mae into his life is like a breath of fresh air. She is sweet and trusting, so he treads carefully. But around them are people who don’t trust him. In OVERNIGHT INHERITANCE, readers will love watching Seb and Mae fall in love. They deserve happiness.

Love comes unexpectedly to a couple who should be at odds with each other in OVERNIGHT INHERITANCE. They have a battle on their hands but not with each other. Don’t miss this endearing tale.
