Royal, Texas – Present Day

After working hard and never feeling like she has a life of her own, Andi Beaumont finally quits her job as personal assistant to Mac McCallum. Of course, he can't believe she'd walk away from such a good job and tries to wear her down by pressuring her. But Andi's had enough, and Mac's hanging around to supposedly help her out while she spruces up her house isn't going to sway her. For years she's been attracted to Mac, and his presence in her house every day only intensifies it. Then Mac turns on the charm. How will Andi be able to resist him?

Until the day Andi walked out on him, Mac didn't realize how much he relied on her. He will do anything to get her back, even help her make repairs to her house. Mac has always maintained a business relationship with Andi, but being around her—and getting to really know her—has him seeing her in a new light. She's beautiful, smart and he's finding her attractive. While he wouldn't normally have a fling with an employee, technically she's not right now, so why not? Besides, maybe it will help his cause…her coming back as his personal assistant.

Andi was being taken for granted by Mac and ended up spending most of her waking moments at work. She decides she needs to have a life and that means quitting her job. Mac is stunned when she announces the news because he can't live without the efficient work that she does. He's thinks she just having a “moment” and once she settles down she'll see that she's made a mistake. But Andi is prepared to dig in her heels and not come back. It doesn't help that she fell in love with Mac and watched him as he dated various beautiful women before she had to send the dreaded “farewell” gifts to them. It was just too much after a while.

Mac has buried himself in his job, though he has built it into a successful offshoot of his ranch in Royal. He feels he's too busy to marry, but Andi is almost like his wife in that she does about everything for him. In A BRIDE FOR THE BOSS, Mac's eyes are finally opened as he stops and “smells the roses” and discovers an attraction for Andi. Will it turn into passion and a promise of a future together?

A BRIDE FOR THE BOSS is the final book in the Texas Cattleman's Club: Lies and Lullabies , and wraps up the last connecting characters in this intriguing tale. While it is the last book in the series, it can be read as a standalone without too much difficulty, as the action centers on the romance between Mac and Andi. Readers will get glimpses of prior characters from the series and catch up on what they're doing, including if they've added to their families.

Andi had no idea that when she quit her job that Mac would respond the way he does in A BRIDE FOR THE BOSS. They find love and a mutual passion that cannot be denied. A sizzling tale romance readers won't want to miss, be sure to pick up A BRIDE FOR THE BOSS.
