Boulder, Colorado – Present Day

CEO millionaire and single dad Max Fletcher needs a nanny for the summer for his eleven-year-old daughter, Everly. So far, the applicants haven’t been right for his daughter, but the nanny agency insists this one will be perfect. Max meets the applicant, Cozy Barlow, and he is still not sure, but the woman hits it off with Everly, so she is hired. Cozy is a lush beauty with a vibrant personality and colorful clothing. Max is intrigued to see how Cozy gets along with Everly, so he stays home that first week. While there are a couple of glitches, one thing is becoming clear to him. He’s finding himself attracted to Cozy.

Cozy is intelligent and seems out of place as a nanny. What Max doesn’t know is that she was once in the corporate world until she got sick and nearly died. She has taken a step back for her mental health, so the nanny position was perfect, and it helps that her sister runs the operation. Everly is fun, and the daddy is sexy. Oh, Cozy is definitely finding herself attracted to Max. But she is his employee, and he is in the type of business she no longer wants anything to do with. However, the lust between them is sizzling hot, and it may be too late to deny the attraction.

LAST ON THE LIST is one of those tales that are cute and funny with plenty of smoking hot love scenes. The lust between Cozy and Max has to be hidden from Everly, but they aren’t denying they are attracted to each other. She unsuccessfully tries not to tempt him because she really needs this job. Plus, her sister would kill her if she got fired for sleeping with the boss. At first, Max and Cozy lock horns because she has an unconventional style of taking care of Everly. However, Max’s daughter is thriving under Cozy’s tutelage. Why mess with a good thing? As they finally give in to the lust hovering over them, both realize that once the summer is over, so will Cozy’s job. Max wonders how he can keep her around longer.

Cozy and Max are interesting characters who readers will root for. He might be a CEO, but he isn’t mean. He is about to merge his company with another, and even I saw where this was going to lead. Meanwhile, Cozy, with Max’s encouragement, continues creating charcuterie boards in his garage. She has been selling them and soon has one of Max’s friends wanting to sign her up for a specific line of them. I won’t tell you what they are, but it will give you a chuckle. Speaking of other characters, there are plenty to help keep the story flowing smoothly and keep things interesting. Let’s just say that Max and Cozy have family and friends who see their romance blooming from a mile away.

If you love a sexy romance that makes you smile and has you rooting for the characters to have a forever kind of love, then don’t miss the fun in LAST ON THE LIST.
