Magnolia Bay, Louisiana – Present Day

Abby Curtis is temporarily staying at her Aunt Reva's animal farm while her aunt is doing a three-month training in Florida. Bayside Barn has an assortment of rescue animals, from donkeys to cats to birds, and they have paid tours of the farm to support the care and feeding of the animals. Quinn Lockhart moves in next door, unaware when he bought it that not only would there be constant noise from the animals but from people visiting. He mentions to his real estate agent that he wishes that the city council would shut it down so that he could have peace and quiet. His plan is to renovate, then sell, the property.

The animals are soon venturing onto Quinn's property, which leads to confrontations between him and Abby. He's immediately intrigued by her, but the fact that she is the caretaker of the animals that he hates makes their friendship tenuous at best. But after several interactions—and Abby injures her foot due to his negligence—Quinn moves in with her to take care of her. Soon, their disagreements over the animals turn into an attraction neither can ignore. Then Abby receives a letter informing her that the city council is reviewing a petition to ban animal rescue organizations like her aunt's. Can she save Bayside Barn? Will Quinn help her—and admit that he might have initiated the petition for the ban?

Meanwhile, a wolf hybrid dog has been dumped near Bayside Barn. He's afraid of humans after his former owners were mean to him. One of the Bayside Barn dogs, Georgia, has taken a liking to him and tries to assist him, especially after Wolf has an entanglement with an alligator. Wolf can't yet trust Abby, even though the two are soon linking their minds.

WARM NIGHTS IN MAGNOLIA BAY is a romantic comedy with a bit of paranormal thrown in. The points of view are not only those of Abby and Quinn, but also the dogs, Wolf and Georgia. Readers will soon be rooting for Wolf to trust Abby (and Quinn) so that he can get well and make a home at Bayside Barn. Abby recently lost her job, so came to Magnolia Bay after her aunt offered her a temporary place to stay—and to help Reva achieve her dream of taking that three-month course in Florida. At first, Abby wonders if she is in over her head. Each animal has their own unique personality and think they can boss Abby around. But soon, she has things under control. Well, sort of…

Quinn is hoping to renovate the property and house he purchased but having an animal farm next door isn't going to help property values. Especially when some of the animals pop up on his property, like the cat who takes a dunk in his pool and he must rescue it.  But Quinn can't stay mad long after he becomes attracted to Abby. He soon realizes that she—and Reva—are doing a great service. But how can he undo the damage he's done? How will Abby react when she finds out that his complaint started the drive to put her aunt out of business?

A fun, entertaining tale, especially for readers who love the antics of animals in the story. Abby and Quinn aren't perfect human beings, but they are made for each other. Both started out feeling unsure about what was going to happen with their future, but by the end of WARM NIGHTS IN MAGNOLIA BAY, they may be thinking about a life together. Don't miss the joy and warmheartedness that fills the pages of WARM NIGHTS IN MAGNOLIA BAY.
