However, he’s on to her and he’s afraid to take her up on the offer for fear that it will make him fall in love with her. He did that once years ago, only to have her break his heart. She didn’t tell him the real reason why she broke up with him. Readers suspect that it won’t be long, however, before they’re burning the sheets up in EVER AFTER EXES.
