Scotland, Romania, and Iceland – Another Now

As a young girl, Sabina's grandmother told her an ancient story of dragons who could change to human form. Among the dragons were dragon kings. An ancestor foresaw the local dragon king slaughtering their village, and the family made a plan to steal his weapon, a sword. Fearing his wrath, the Romani family involved fled the village and have wandered the mountains ever since. Her grandmother told her the dragon king would come back, but he must never find them or the sword. But Sabina questions everything, including this story. Her grandmother then told her the Dragon King's name was Vlad.

Roman, king of the light blue dragons, convinces V, king of the copper dragons, that he will help him find his sword. Long ago they sent their dragons to another realm, a safe place. Con, the King of Dragon Kings, has purposely kept V asleep in the mountain of Dreagan in Scotland for centuries. Con woke V because in the upcoming battle against the evil forces facing them, all dragons will be needed. Yet V's memory since the attack where his sword was stolen has been missing, and searching for his sword and his memories has driven V to the edge of madness. The sword's recovery is vital to all Dragonkind. Since by Con's order all dragons' presence must be kept secret from humans; they are not allowed to fly when humans might see them. Roman conjures a huge storm, and he and V fly hidden by the massive storm to Romania, V's home. They remained hidden from all but one person. Cambo, Sabia's younger brother, sees them flying. Cambo is a large man with a child's mind and a special talent for communication with animals.

Sabina Gabor has what her grandmother called ‘sight.' She left her roaming gypsy family to find a safe place for Cambo to live with his animals. Others in the village near where they live make fun of him, but do not know the unique gift he possesses. Sabrina senses things others don't, but despite her misgivings, Roman attracts her like no other man, and even learning he is a dragon doesn't change that. She helps Roman and V learn another previously unrecognized enemy is in play with a magic powerful enough to control even a dragon king.

Like the other books in this series, tension from previous evil forces still flow through the narrative, and this story includes equally dangerous locations. Secrets abound and some will be exposed, but more occur. New readers might be a little confused, but will soon understand the background and its nuances. Those familiar with the series will be glad for Roman to find a mate at last, if he lives through it.
