Dallas, Texas – Present Day

IRS special agent Tara Holloway has worked for the Internal Revenue Service for less than two years, but she's gained a reputation and a fiancé during that time. As she plans her wedding to fellow agent Nick Pratt, she's faced with a new case and death threats. Will she wrap up everything before she walks down the aisle?

As Tara is dropping off her wedding invitations in the mailbox, someone in a car heads straight for her and nearly runs her down. She figures it was just a fluke until she receives an anonymous note that she won't see her wedding day. Now Tara has to figure out from the multitude of people she helped convict of income tax evasion who would want her dead.

Tara is assigned a rental scam case that is perplexing everyone. The crook takes earnest money from prospective renters and then mysteriously disappears. Tara has the unique ability to sift through clues and get to the bottom of cases, so she's the perfect person to work this assignment. She's narrowed her search down to a possible area where the guy might live, so goes undercover as a rideshare driver because it appears that he uses that mode of transportation. Tara's investigation is time consuming, but she finally nails her guy. Meanwhile, the death threats continue as Tara makes her final wedding preparations.

It's been a wonderful and crazy ride for readers of the Tara Holloway series, but with DEATH, TAXES, AND A SHOTGUN WEDDING it comes to an end. We've watched Tara get into some insane predicaments and she always manages to work her way out of them. Of course, Tara always gets her man…or woman, with a gun or not. In her latest adventure, she is excited about marrying Nick, the man who won her heart. With the realization that someone out there doesn't want to see her march down the aisle, Tara has to watch her back, with a little help from fellow agents acting as bodyguards. But this can't stop her investigation of the rental scam. The man hasn't resurfaced yet, but when he does, she's going to nab him.

One thing about reading DEATH, TAXES, AND A SHOTGUN WEDDING and the other books in this series is that you'll be laughing and cheering Tara on as she solves the various crimes. She's also willing to do whatever it takes to bring the bad guy—or woman—in. And nobody gets the best of Tara Holloway. By the time Tara and Nick's wedding day approaches, you'll be rooting for them and hoping everything will go smoothly. Of course, that isn't going to happen…

Readers who've read the other books in the Tara Holloway series get a fond look back at other characters—friends of Tara, colleagues, and of course, people she's arrested and those she's helped. It's one big reunion in DEATH, TAXES, AND A SHOTGUN WEDDING and it'll definitely leave a smile on your face.

There's lots of laughter, thrills, and a bit of romance in the pages of DEATH, TAXES, AND A SHOTGUN WEDDING. Sit down for a spell and start reading, because once you do, you won't want to put it down.

Congratulations are in order to Tara Holloway and the loves of her life…Nick Pratt and the Internal Revenue Service. Oh, and the gun she always keeps handy.
