Colorado – Present Day

Clare Cernak, newly minted ghost seer, is, along with her lover, Zach Slade, at Buffalo Bill's gravesite to investigate claims of a poltergeist disturbing the site. The ghost, or whatever it is, is trashing the enclosure, and causing dust devils to scare off visitors. Unfortunately, whoever this being is, he doesn't fall into the era of time that Clare deals with. She can only see ghosts of a certain period, and while she can sense the presence of this unruly one, she cannot communicate with or see him. But her ghost Labrador, Enzo, can. (Enzo was her aunt's guide).

While investigating the site, Clare and Zach meet local businessman, and “believer ", Kurtus Welliam. He has informed another local medium about the situation, and wants to find out what's going on at Buffalo Bill's grave. Clare and Zach are assigned to investigate the situation by Zach's employer, and with Enzo's valuable help, they set out to research who the mysterious “being” could be. While at the gravesite, however, Clare meets the ghostly presence of one of Buffalo Bill's friends, Texas Jack Omohundro.

Texas Jack is in the grey world, and cannot cross over. He is desperate to join his beloved wife, and Clare agrees to help him. In turn, Texas Jack will help with the confused ghost who is haunting the gravesite.

GHOST TALKER continues the Ghost Seer series as Clare begins to settle in to her new life. Her entire world changed a month before when she inherited her late aunt's abilities, not to mention her millions. But organized Clare is having trouble not being organized, not knowing when she will be surrounded by ghosts, and trying to understand what is expected of her by the Other – a ghostly being inhabiting Enzo's body on occasion. Thankfully, she has Zach, an ex-cop, who also has his own abilities to foresee some things. There is some danger involved in each job that Clare takes on, and this one is no exception. The other Denver medium, more of a phony than someone with talent, makes his money off of unsuspecting clients, and he's not happy at all to have Clare involved locally.

I am totally enjoying this series, and the details of the so-called Wild West that surface throughout the books. Do check out Robin D. Owens's website for information on the previous books. http://robindowens.com .
