MISTAKEN FOR A MISTRESS
Cannes

Estrella Galvan is a supermodel who is in Cannes trying to get buyers for the documentary she helped make of an orphanage in India. Things don't go as she planned when she encounters the bold and sexy Carlo Gabellini. He ruins her chances of getting a distributor interested in her documentary, One Heart , because he thinks she's just out to cheat them like she treated a friend of his. Only after he humiliates her does he see that she's not like the other women he's known, and that she could be the one for him.

THE LATIN LOVER'S SECRET CHILD
Argentina

The last thing wine tycoon Lucio Cruz expected when he answered his cellphone was to hear his soon-to-be-ex brother-in-law . Lucio's estranged wife has been seriously ill and when she finally comes to, she wants Lucio to be with her. Rushing to her side, Lucio isn't sure what to think since she's been pushing for a divorce between them and basically ignoring his wish to stay together. What he finds when he gets home is a surprise. Ana isn't like the lady who has been pushing for a divorce ; in her mind , she and Lucio haven't yet married.

Since Anabella Galvan Cruz came out of the hospital she can't remember some things…mainly that she and Lucio are already married and are just weeks away from getting their divorce finalized. Not wanting to tell her the truth, in fear that she'll have a relapse, Lucio decides to just go with the flow and see what happens as she slowly starts putting the memories together. But will he want to stay with her after he finds out the secret she kept that caused her to push him away in the first place?

Ms. Porter and her books have become favorites of mine since I read CHRISTOS'S PROMISE. Her heroes seem to come to life as I'm reading about them, and I've always been a sucker for alpha men. MISTAKEN FOR A MISTRESS and THE LATIN LOVER'S SECRET CHILD are no different. Lucio just oozed charisma, and the only problem I had with Carlo's book was that it was only twenty-five pages long…I would like to have read more about him and Estrella. For some reason, I never warmed to Ana; she acted too much like a spoiled woman used to getting things her way. Lucio made the book for me; he was a great hero. I'm looking forward to Ms. Porter's next sizzling read.
