Ocean Breeze, California – Present Day

Iris Shiprock moved to Ocean Breeze a few years ago and immediately became friends with twins Sage and Scott Martin. Sage recently married and is currently on a month-long honeymoon with her husband and daughter, so it’s just Iris and Scott who walk the beach with their dogs. Since it was only the two of them, they became closer—and it led to a round of spontaneous sex. Both regret it—or do they? Anyhow, Iris and Scott try to avoid each other but things change when Scott is injured in a surfing accident and needs someone to take care of him. Iris agrees to step in. Staying with and caring for him is an intimate act that makes them acutely aware of each other. How will they avoid the elephant in the room, that they are still attracted to each other?

Interestingly enough, both Scott and Iris are twins. But the difference is that Iris’s twin tragically died when she was seventeen and she hasn’t gotten over it as she suffers from terrible nightmares. Scott isn’t aware of Iris’s past because she hasn’t shared it with him. In BEACH COTTAGE KISSES, they slowly share their past and the concerns they have for the future. Scott has had one bad marriage in his past and feels like he is a failure at love. Iris sees losing her sister as a terrible loss, that she lost a big part of who she is. They have to heal their souls before they can look at a future to include each other. Will this happen in this thoughtful and endearing tale?

Readers will fall in love with Iris and Soctt. They are good people who just have bad things happen to them. Iris has a hard time opening up to what happened with her sister. Not that she was responsible but there is always a part of her that wonders if only things had been different. She suffered mentally afterward and is still getting treatment in BEACH COTTAGE KISSES. Scott is one of those independent, yet nurturing guys readers will love to see in a man. While Iris is taking care of him now, he resists at times, but he is considerate of her feelings. You will enjoy watching them fall in love. It’s worth it because their ending is emotional and satisfying. Don’t miss BEACH COTTAGE KISSES.
