Scott has had one bad marriage in his past and feels like he is a failure at love. Iris sees losing her sister as a terrible loss, that she lost a big part of who she is. Readers will fall in love with Iris and Soctt. They are good people who just have bad things happen to them. Iris has a hard time opening up to what happened with her sister. Not that she was responsible but there is always a part of her that wonders if only things had been different. She suffered mentally afterward and is still getting treatment in BEACH COTTAGE KISSES. Scott is one of those independent, yet nurturing guys readers will love to see in a man. While Iris is taking care of him now, he resists at times, but he is considerate of her feelings.
