Blessings, Georgia - Present Day

Christmas Eve doesn't hold much meaning for Mercy Dane; she has no family to spend it with, and plans to spend it alone.  But a middle of the night phone call changes much more than Mercy's holiday plans.  An accident victim is in need of a transfusion, and Mercy, with her rare blood type, is the best chance of saving the victim.  She'd never heard of the small town of Blessings, but surprisingly, Mercy finds something she's never had before: family and a home.

Police Chief Lon Pittman starts chasing down a speeding motorcycle, only to find out that the rider is the woman who's helping to save a local woman's life.  It's not until he comes face to face with the rider that Lon realizes he knew her once before—and has never been able to get her out of his mind.  This time though, he has no intention of letting Mercy get away.

Mercy grew up in foster care, but something about Blessings makes her feel at home in A PIECE OF MY HEART.  With nothing to keep her in Savannah, Mercy moves to Blessings to get to know the people she's met a little bit better.  She's also attracted to Lon, and for the first time in her life, Mercy has people who care about her.  Lon's interest in Mercy is piqued immediately, and the better they get to know one another, the more sure he is that Mercy is the woman for him.  Now he just has to convince her that he's not going anywhere.

The fourth book in the Blessings, Georgia series brings readers back to the small Southern town.  Each of the books focuses on a specific couple, so you don't necessarily have to read them in order to enjoy them.  A sweet romance with entertaining characters, don't miss A PIECE OF MY HEART.
