Kerrelyn Sparks is an excellent writer and does it again with WANTED: UNDEAD OR ALIVE. Phineas is a fun character, and Brynn is sassy and smart. Ms. Sparks knows how to write her couples and matches them perfectly. A new premise in this ongoing series is introduced when her characters are sent to a rural area, away from the other usual side characters, to hunt Corky the queen. The change of scenery will surprise and please readers as they get to know Phin and Brynn without all the usual commotion.

Ms. Sparks's books are always packed with love, lust, action, and her signature humor, and WANTED: UNDEAD OR ALIVE is no exception. However, readers may find the twelfth book falling flat as some of the humor seems to have been done before. The relationship between Brynn and Phin seems to drag on forever before finally getting to the meat of their time together. When they do come together, though, it is just as steamy as expected!

Fans of the Love at Stake series  may find this book to be lacking something even if they cannot put their finger on it, but overall, readers will find WANTED: UNDEAD OR ALIVE thoroughly satisfying. No news yet on the next in the series, but there are still more characters deserving of Ms. Sparks's attention, and she has stated that there will be at least 16 books. Readers, be on the lookout for the next book in the series!
