New Hampshire – Present Day Rob Kowalski and his three brothers recently opened a campground, and their first registered guest is Hannah Shelby. Rob is instantly attracted to her, but the four men agree there would be no fraternization with the female guests. It looks like Hannah isn’t interested in dating, so while Rob is a bit disappointed, he decides he will be friends with her. He later learns that she is from California and is a podcaster who investigates unsolved mysteries. Turns out there is one right there on their property after a woman disappeared in the 1880s. While Hannah is friendly enough, she is still a bit of a mystery to Rob and his brothers. Should he be concerned? Hannah is at a crossroads when it comes to podcasting. Her partner, Erika, and Hannah want to go on different paths. Hannah wants to branch out into solely researching long-ago mysteries, while Erika wants to stick to present-day mysteries. It would be a big step to go solo, and she doesn’t want to be pressured, especially by Erika. So, she decided to come to New Hampshire and camp at this campground and kill two birds with one stone. But along the way, Hannah finds herself distracted by her growing attraction to Rob. He’s especially helpful to Hannah when she’s scared during a fierce thunderstorm. The Kowalski brothers are like most families. They argue amongst themselves but continue to support each other. Running a business together obviously puts stress on them but if they work together…if they can agree on things…then all is well. Rob can’t stop thinking about Hannah. Granted, she hasn’t given him any signals that she reciprocates his feelings, but it doesn’t stop him from making excuses to talk to her. In A KOWALSKI TO COUNT ON, their friendship and subsequent romance slowly build, but readers will enjoy the fun and ease as they slowly fall in love. But both are aware that she will be leaving at the end of July. Is this going to lead to heartbreak? A KOWALSKI TO COUNT ON is an enjoyable tale that brings together families and fun times. As I said earlier, the brothers argue, but they are fun to watch. But they have each other’s backs, while Hannah is content to let her relationship with Rob go where it may. Besides the brothers and Hannah, readers will be entertained by their fellow campers. There’s nothing like being outdoors and experiencing the wild while falling in love. If you love a good, easygoing romance, then don’t miss A KOWALSKI TO COUNT ON. Patti Fischer |
