| Soledad Bay, Florida – Present Day Single mom Indya Linares has taken over the running of her family’s hotel and while it keeps her busy, she cherishes the time she can spend out on the water in her boat. One night while on the boat, the engine inexplicably fails, and she has to figure out how to get back to the dock. A stranger is nearby and offers his assistance. While Indya is cautious and accepts his help, she learns he is pleasant to talk to, and he intrigues her. A few days later as she heads to meet a potential hire for a facilities management job at the hotel, she runs into her mysterious stranger as he is applying for the job. He has the perfect qualifications for the job and is hired. Santiago Pereira immigrated from Venezuela two years ago and has worked in Miami until recently. But after the hotel he was working at got sold, he decided to join his parents and sister in Soledad Bay. He needs a job and was recommended for the position at Alba Beachside Resort. To his surprise, the manager is the woman he had rescued a few days ago. Like then, Santiago is attracted to Indya, but he must keep his eye on his goals. He needs the job to make money to help bring his ex-girlfriend and their daughter from Venezuela. He can’t let himself become too distracted by getting romantically involved with his boss. Despite every reason in the world not to give in to their attraction in A SUMMER TO START OVER, Indya and Santiago soon realize they can’t stop feeling drawn to each other. Besides running the hotel, she is raising her teenage daughter Gia. Her ex-husband is a good father, but unfortunately, was not a good husband. She has no interest in repeating that again. Besides, the hotel is still recovering from the effects of a devastating hurricane and work still needs to be done. Santiago quickly turns out to be a hard worker and helps ease the pressure on her. But even as she tries to avoid being around him, they can’t avoid each other and soon share kisses that promise more. A SUMMER TO START OVER is set on the sunny shores of Florida along the Gulf of Mexico. Indya wants to continue to make the hotel successful and raise Gia to be a smart, beautiful woman. She fears falling in love with Santiago, but he seems to be in tune with her. They accept each other for who they are, and their romance builds slowly. Will it end in a happily ever after?
