Bluebonnet, Texas – Present Day School librarian Belle Darling is proud of her work helping kids who need reading assistance by using her dog, a Cavalier Spaniel named Peaches. As co-founder of Comfort Paws, Belle’s goal is to train her dog to be a service support dog. One particular student, Lucy, has taken a shine to Peaches. One day, Lucy’s guardian uncle, Cash McAllister, shows up in the library at the wrong moment. He has one request: to buy Peaches for Lucy. She has words with him, not realizing that the man has ties to the town and is worth a lot of money. They clash, and later, Belle has to apologize to Cash. But she isn’t going to sell Peaches to him. Later, Belle and Cash are forced to work together. First off, he decides to get another rescue dog for Lucy. Then, he and Belle make a bet as to who will have the better-behaving dog when both attend special training for support dogs. Belle is commanded by her principal to head a committee to raise money for the school and Cash is added to the group. Turns out he has some good ideas. Belle and Cash continue to spar, but there are also sparks flying between them. Should they act upon their attraction? If you love romance, a cute little girl, and dogs, then BLUEBONNET SEASON is the one for you. Belle was raised mostly by her father and they barely got by. She has achieved her dream of being a librarian and loves her job at Bluebonnet Elementary School, especially when she helps kids who have reading problems. So, one can understand why she reluctantly apologized to Cash after she questioned his presence in her library that day. She loves little Lucy and feels sorry for her as she lost her mother and is being raised by her bachelor uncle. Cash recently moved back to town and has adopted Lucy. He will do anything for her, even attempt to buy the dog that helps her read since she is dyslexic. Even after having Lucy for the past couple of years, Cash struggles at times to help her. While Cash was born in Bluebonnet, he was sent away to boarding school when he was young. For this reason, he doesn’t have any friends in town. But being around Belle and her best friends who co-own Comfort Paws, has been a blessing for both him and Lucy. For much of BLUEBONNET SEASON, Cash and Belle circle each other. It’s clear they are attracted to each other but are too afraid to admit it because they act like they are walking on glass. Will they finally figure it out and give in to their mutual attraction? A fun and emotional tale that uplifts the heart, don’t miss BLUEBONNET SEASON. Patti Fischer |
