Copper Ridge, Oregon – Present Day

Poppy Sinclair has worked for Isaiah Grayson for ten years while keeping her feelings for him under wraps. But when he asks her to help him find a wife, she balks. Her protests get Isaiah's attention, which leads him to ask  her  to be his bride. She is stunned at the offer, and it can't be called a romantic proposal, because he makes it sound logical since they work together so well and his idea of a successful marriage is one treated like a business. To her own surprise, she accepts, even as Isaiah informs her that their marriage will be a real one, meaning they'll share a bed and have children together. He then seduces her into his bed, where he discovers something she hadn't told him…

Can a couple who work together make a marriage between them a success? Poppy came to Copper Ridge when she was eighteen and her sister was dating Isaiah. That romance ended badly, but by that time Poppy had a job at the Grayson family company and decided to remain. Isaiah has seen two of his brothers recently marry and he figures it is time for him to find a bride. He opts to have an ad placed in a newspaper—and gets Poppy to interview the prospective brides. Of course, the ladies are more interested in Isaiah's pocketbook than love, which infuriates Poppy. A lot of the interactions between Isaiah and Poppy in WANT ME, COWBOY lead to confrontations that soon turn passionate. How long will it take for them to realize the reason they are having emotional reactions is that they have feelings for one another?

Poppy and Isaiah may have worked together for ten years and are friends, but they don't really know one another. Now that they're engaged, it's time to learn more about each other. In WANT ME, COWBOY, this results in Poppy and Isaiah spending lots of time together, where more often than not it's them arguing about many things. His request to advertise for a bride. His asking her to marry him. Then finally, because she wants more than a businesslike marriage, she challenges him. What Poppy really wants is Isaiah's love. Will he be able to open his heart to her? Will they make it to the altar?

WANT ME, COWBOY is part of the  Copper Ridge  series by Maisey Yates, yet it can easily be read as a standalone even if you haven't read any of the prior books. While Isaiah never looked at Poppy in a romantic way before, now that they're engaged, he finds himself unable to stop thinking about her. She wants love while he thinks it's overrated. Their trip to the altar is filled with plenty of sizzle and some sassy humor. Who will win in the battle between Poppy and Isaiah? Find out in the enjoyable WANT ME, COWBOY.
