While researching her ancestor, Margaret Marsden, Esther can't help but get caught up in the mystery of Margaret's life. A nineteenth century gothic writer, Margaret simply disappeared one day, and Esther is trying to write a fictional novel about what happened to her. In her quest, she has stumbled upon the Prince of Costanzo, supposedly a lost work of Margaret's. When Esther opens the book, though, she falls into a deep sleep and dreams of the sexy tyrant Prince Drago, rumored to be an evil sorcerer who is at constant war with his cousin Cosimo, whom many believe to be the rightful prince. But the characters from the book and those in her dream are nothing alike, and soon Esther realizes that she is actually in the book, living out a bizarre life with her would-be suitor, Drago. Magic and betrayal surround Esther, and soon it's hard to tell the difference between friends and enemies, even in her own time. Could this be what happened to Margaret?

An old-fashioned gothic romance with a time-travel twist, GOTHIC DRAGON is simply fun. Esther doesn't know whether she's dreaming or not, but by golly, she's going along for the ride as long as she can. Everything she's ever read about Drago is being put to the test as he charms and seduces her, proving that he is not the evil usurper he is described as. Numerous secondary characters, such as Cosimo and his mysterious tutor, John Fortune, along with Drago's stepsister Matilda, all play their roles in this mystery, and are also the key to getting Esther home. That is, if she wants to go back.
