Boston, Massachusetts - Present Day

Jules Cassidy -- an excellent FBI agent -- has quick wits and cunning actions, is ready in any situation having to do with national security…and gay. Jules is in love with Robin Chadwick, an actor, drunk, and the most beautiful man he's ever met. Robin, in order to have a life with the man he loves, has gone through rehab, come out of the closet to the entire country, and given up a prosperous and financially lucrative movie career. Now, Robin is working in Boston on a small cable TV series that is catching on, and attending AA as often as he can, determined to stay sober for the man he loves -- Jules.

Jules intends to ask Robin to marry him and plan for a Christmas wedding, only Robin beats him to the punch. Jules goes back and forth from Washington, DC, where he is stationed, and Robin works on his TV series. To keep their lives running smoothly, renovate their house, and set up the wedding activities, their assistant, Dolphina Patel, is left with keeping their lives running smoothly and the months leading up to the wedding sane.

Will Schroeder is a journalist who infiltrates the engagement party of Jules and Robin for a story, any story, any interview with anyone. He tries to penetrate their group and perhaps get something going with Dolphina, who he quickly determines is the one woman in the world for him. Dolphina is a whirlwind of activity during this time of engagements, Thanksgiving, and a Christmas wedding. Plus, she's now handling that journalist scum, and it doesn't improve her temper any. Time and time again Will disappoints her, lying to her, getting caught stealing information from her computer, and generally being such a sleazy character it's hard to even like him. Then when trouble, in the form of Jules's former lover, Adam, appears, everything blows up.

Suzanne Brockman has once again provided us with an excellently written story full of emotion, love, fun, and alpha males ready to rise to any occasion. In ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT, each man confronts danger and can appreciate love in any form with equal panache. Centered mainly on Jules and Robin, we are able to see into Robin's mind and see if he has as many feelings for Jules as Jules has had for him for years.

We are all familiar with Jules, a brave FBI agent who has long had a crush on Robin. In the last book (FORCE OF NATURE, August 2007), Jules admitted his love for Robin, a love that seemed hopeless. But, when Jules's old boyfriend, Adam, starts harassing them, and saying he is being stalked (yeah, right), the life they have been building as a couple will be tested to its limits.

If you've had the pleasure of reading a book in the Troubleshooter series, you will recognize and enjoy the antics of Sam and Alyssa; Cosmo and his wife Jane; Davis Jones and his wife Molly; Max and Gina Bhagat, and almost everyone else associated with Troubleshooters. Then there's troublemaker Adam who is determined to stop the relationship growing between Jules and Robin, and, just maybe, is being stalked by a man determined to kill him. Will Schroeder and Dolphina also keep actions at a fever pitch as the relationship grows between them.

ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT is a must-have book for everyone who's followed the Troubleshooter series. After reading practically all the Troubleshooter stories, I feel this is a stand-alone novel, ready to tug your heartstrings at each moment. Buy it for yourself or give it to a friend who loves Suzanne Brockman, but make sure this is a Christmas stocking stuffer.
