Cities Across the West - Present Day

BREAKING NEWS FROM YOUR ENTERTAINMENT REPORTER: It seems a certain new singer in the country music field is driving across the West trying out new songs before starting her latest tour. P.J. Morgan is a rising star today, despite the years of struggle with her mother, who preferred kicking her daughter out rather than taking care of her, until said girl started bringing in money. We hear tell mommy dearest has been fired as manager by her darling daughter, but doesn't the Bible say "honor your father and your mother"? Surely no good can come of the disrespect P.J.'s given to her mother.

A little birdie also told us Jared Hamilton of Semper Fi Investigations has been hired by P.J.'s manger to make sure she gets to all the cities booked on her new tour. Apparently P.J.'s mother convinced the music company that she is unreliable and may miss her tour dates. Except, nobody knows that over fifteen years ago Jared and P.J. were both alone on the streets of Denver, living hand to mouth. P.J. had been kicked out of her home by her mother, and Jared thought he had killed his father. Too bad P.J. isn't excited about being watched over by Jared, but we notice she sure did give him a warm welcome, could something be going on between the country singer and the bodyguard? And what's this about a stalker that is being kept hush hush?

Ah, Jared has let slide that there might be someone threatening P.J.'s life, but he sure isn't acting much like a bodyguard. It appears to us, dear readers, that he is trying to do much more than just guard her body. And P.J., well, she puts on one fine show, but that Jared seems to be tearing her hither and yon. First he wants her, then he blows cold. Only men can drive a woman crazy, right readers? Just what is Jared looking for, P.J.'s love, or to keep her at arms length as a client? He'd better make up his mind before he jeopardizes his job and lets his guard down.

Susan Anderson is one of the great romance writers, good thing she isn't in competition with this rag! She guides us through Jared and P.J.'s past life together, and into the present as they try to relate to each other now that they're not frightened teenagers living alone on the streets. P.J.'s story fairly flies, with us holding on behind it, and we also get a look inside the world of country music. We let you in on the lives of people; Ms. Andersen lets you in on their emotions. We make quite a team if I do say so.

We have confidential information that Luther Menks intends to correct P.J. on the words of the Bible regarding respect for one's mother. Her best friend and road manager, Nell, also seems to be noticing fiddle player Hank in P.J.'s band, and is getting over her crush on Eddie, the guitar player. Everyone knows those lady killers just don't stay around to make a woman feel loved and desired.

COMING UNDONE, we have on good report, has all the ingredients of a great story with love; country music; the evil, insane man, and two people looking to find love and acceptance with each other. This paper highly recommends COMING UNDONE -- of course, after reading us first.
