Historical Fantasy

Scotland ~~ 14th Century

Left to fend for themselves in a time and place they knew nothing about, U.S. Navy Pilot Alex MacNeil and his wife Lindsay have made the best of their situation. After meeting Robert the Bruce, Alex was made an earl, and now he and Lindsay live in relative comfort. But Scotland and the surrounding lands are being torn apart by war, and betrayal lurks around every corner.

Six months ago, Lindsay learned that she was one of the fey, and now the knight, An Reubair, wants her for his own and will use his magical wiles to get her. When Alex is wounded during a surprise attack, and Lindsay is kidnapped, she will have to rely on her own powers to keep from falling under An Reubair's enticing charm and to wait for the man she loves to find her in all this madness.

A follow-up to KNIGHT'S TENEBRAE and KNIGHT'S BLOOD, Julianne Lee's KNIGHT'S LADY is a gripping fantasy filled with magic and intrigue. Lush descriptions of Scotland accompany clever writing, as readers are pulled into this mystical world. Alex and Lindsay have definitely made the most of their new life, but still struggle with their modern sensibilities, which have caused some strife between them and their people. They still don't know whom to trust in this place, for both humans and fey all have their own agendas. Secondary characters, such as the mysterious Trefor and the alluring An Reubair, are just a couple of the people Alex and Lindsay come in contact with, all of whom play an important role in their fate. Since this is part of a series, I highly recommend reading the first two titles, as situations and characters from those books are mentioned throughout.

An absorbing and intelligent fantasy by Julianne Lee, KNIGHT'S LADY will keep many readers entertained.
