Historical Romance

London, England - 1816

Between the ghosts of her past and her determination to become a published author, Miss Avis Copley never plans to marry. The downside of being a spinster, however, is the feeling that she doesn’t know enough about what happens between men and women to write convincingly of romance. On her twenty-sixth birthday, Avis makes a decision to take a lover, find out what she needs to know, and then be a better writer. Her friend and author, Emory Billingsworth, will be the perfect man because he will understand her need for research, and will keep quiet about it afterwards. Now she has to convince him.

Banning Talbot, the Earl of Selby, doesn’t know what’s more disturbing: that his sister’s best friend plans to take a lover, or that she has chosen someone so unsuitable. Ever since Banning kissed Avis on a dare eight years ago, they have been enemies, and there’s no way she’ll listen to him about Emory. While Banning is successful in diverting her from asking Emory, when Avis announces that she’ll find someone else, Banning is shocked to find himself volunteering. After a kiss that is just as hot as their previous one -- without the bad ending -- Banning is more determined than ever to have Avis. But will she be willing to accept everything he is offering?

The tension between two adversaries explodes into passion in EVERY NIGHT I’M YOURS. In spite of living alone, Avis is a proper young woman of her time, and not very impulsive, so her decision to take a lover is surprising to more than just Banning. She’s shocked by Banning’s offer, and while they haven’t gotten along with each other for the past eight years, she can’t deny the attraction she feels. Banning has spent the Season looking for a wife, but he isn’t interested in any of the young misses paraded before him. When he kisses Avis again, Banning comes to a few realizations, including how appropriate a wife Avis would make.

Secondary characters include Banning’s friend, Trey, and his wife, Charlotte, and Avis’s friends and fellow members of the Spinsters' Club; Jeannette, Victoria, Elizabeth and Sophia. There are hints that Jeannette, Banning’s sister, may have a story in the making, and hopefully the other friends will also find romance in the future. A delightfully entertaining tale, be sure to pick up EVERY NIGHT I’M YOURS.
