Paranormal Romantic Suspense

Triplets...born within moments of each other. All with some psychic power that sets them apart. And also makes them a target for something evil. Does it have anything to do with the dreams of a Viking warrior and a seer woman? In AT THE EDGE, readers met all three girls, learned what each is capable of, but the story was Claire's, the youngest of the three. She met her protector in Neil Olafson and so the evil moved on. Moved to the next sister, Tempest. This is her story...

San Francisco, California - Present Day

An expert at getting in and out of places unseen, Tempest Storm breaks into the penthouse suite in search of the brooch that might possibly give her family the answers they need, and help Tempest redeem herself. If she can just touch the brooch with her bare hands, she will know if it's the genuine article or a fake. However, it's a trap, and Tempest comes face to face with Marcus Greystone, the one man who touches her in ways no man ever has and the one who frightens her the most because of it. Marcus offers Tempest a deal. He will let her see, touch, do whatever she wishes to the brooch, and in return she will do something for him. Although she knows it isn't a good idea, since being in close proximity to Marcus brings an explosion of sexual need to the surface, Tempest has no choice. She needs that brooch...needs to know who is stalking her family and why. Can she resist the lure of Marcus? If she gives in to the passion running between them, when it's over, will she be able to walk away with her heart intact?

Successful businessman Marcus Greystone wasn't happy when Tempest snuck off after they had spent the night together burning up the sheets. He searches for her high and low, figures out a way to bring her to him, and wham! He manages to trap the slippery temptress. She's as beautiful and sexy as ever, and also as edgy as he remembers. He knows that keeping her probably isn't a good idea, but damn if he can help himself. Marcus knows all about Tempest and her abilities. He should; he's researched her past enough to know all...except for two years. But he'll get that out of her in due time. Marcus needs Tempest to help him find out who murdered his parents. They've been dead for more than fifteen years, but if she's as good as he knows she is, it won't take her long to uncover the truth. Unfortunately, Marcus didn't count on somebody not being happy about Tempest digging up old secrets, and every time he turns around he's having to save her. The feelings she inspires frighten and puzzle him. Why does he feel the need to be her protector? And who in his past doesn't want the truth to come out?

Cait London's latest novel, A STRANGER'S TOUCH, captivated me from the first page. I liked Tempest when she was first introduced in AT THE EDGE, and after reading her story, seeing her spunk, and also the guilt she carries for something that wasn't her fault, I love her even more. Tempest carries on her shoulders the weight of her father's death. After all, if she hadn't broken her arm and he hadn't been rushing home, her father would still be alive today. Granted she was only four or five at the time, but Tempest has carried this around all these years. The brooch represents salvation. If she can hold it, touch it, then maybe she can find out who is out to get her family. All of them fear large bodies of water because of a boating accident when they were small, and with good reason. There's something...an evil presence...that calls to them, seducing them into the waves. But with Tempest it's more. Someone is trying to kill her, to keep her from finding the information that Marcus needs to make him whole. She asks questions of those closest to him: Opal, the housekeeper; Francesca, the older woman who initiated him in the ways of sex; and Kenny, the man who helped him with Greystone Investments and takes care of the marina. One or all of them are hostile for one reason or another. Marcus felt something for Tempest the night they slept together, and it stayed with him. Something about her draws him, pulls at his protective instincts, and even though she's always causing trouble, she makes him happy. But Tempest still has a secret or two, and Marcus wants to know what they are. Secondary characters include Tempest's sisters, Leona and Claire; their mother; and those who are close to Marcus: Kenny, Francesca, and Opal. All have something that will aid Tempest in her investigation, and some have a little insight for Marcus in dealing with Tempest. <g> However, we mustn't forget the evil that lurks in the mist. It wants revenge for something, and it's up to the girls to figure out what it is after.

Danger, passion, jealousy, love, are all elements in Cait London's A STRANGER'S TOUCH. A hero larger than life, a heroine who keeps him on his toes, and a passion that lasts forever, what more could you ask for? The next book perhaps? <g>
