Roanoke, New York – Present Day

When Markey Neville gets mad, things happen; things that scare other people and Markey herself. Unable to keep a job or friends after an episode and branded a freak, Markey finds herself continually moving around. So when Trip Lindaur doesn’t run screaming after Markey almost kills a bank robber, she is intrigued. The fact that he’s gorgeous and doing his best to help her control her powers amazes Markey and gives her hope that she doesn’t have to remain alone forever. But Trip has some secrets of his own. Can Markey live with them?

Markey Neville’s ability to control the wind is a true FORCE OF NATURE. Unfortunately, her control is inconsistent and dependent upon her emotions. Trip Lindaur is the first person to look past her scary gift and offer friendship. He is also the first man to inspire deeper feelings in Markey. Trip is on a quest of his own, one that’s not completely revealed until near the end of the tale and could completely blow apart his relationship with Markey.

Although the premise of the story is quite interesting, the delivery is a bit amateurish. From Markey’s power to the other characters' reactions to it, everything was a little too over the top, and FORCE OF NATURE suffers for it.
