Jemma has finally met the man of her dreams. They haven’t spoken yet, but if she hurries home from work, she can catch his smile as they pass each other in the park. She is running late one day and fears that she will miss him.

Mason isn’t human. He is a guardian of sorts and spends his day as a stone statue. At night he watches over his city. When he sees Jemma in the park, he hopes that they will get the chance to find true love.

Before they can have their first conversation, an evil creature attacks Jemma in the park, and Mason must save her. Can Jemma help Mason save the city? Will she accept his true form?

GUARDED BY STONE is a delightful short story. Readers will enjoy the brief diversion from the real world as Yolanda Sfetsos introduces us to mythical beings in this romantic tale. The plot moves at a great pace and had me hoping that Mason would win the girl.
