Paranormal Romance
Present day Sedona, Arizona
The Calhoun family has good reason to distrust witches.
One of them killed their brother, cursed their sister, and left
a three-year-old girl orphaned. Aiden Calhoun is convinced that
his dead sister-in-law, Sonia, has an evil partner who helped
in the ritual killing of his brother, Kyle. Aiden is drawn to
his brother’s death site hoping to find a clue about his
death and some explanation for his late sister-in-law’s
betrayal.
Kira never met her late brother-in-law and now seeks
to gain custody of her sister’s orphaned daughter. She is
convinced that the little girl is not safe with her father’s
family. Little does she know that the Calhouns are protecting
a dangerous secret. They are shape shifters and have no intention
of giving up their foxy little niece, especially not to a witch.
Kira has no idea why her sister would so heinously
murder her husband and then commit suicide. The sisters had been
estranged for five years following the horrifying death of their
family. Since that time, Kira has not used her magic; will she
reconnect with her powers in time to save those who need her most?
When strange events begin occurring and shape shifters
start disappearing from the Calhoun’s nature reserve, Kira
falls under suspicion. After all, it was her sister who cast the
black magic that killed Kyle. Aiden fights his attraction for
Kira, but as hard as they try, the two cannot seem to ignore their
desire.
Danger lurks just out of reach, and Sonia’s
spirit returns to warn her sister of an evil presence. Her messages
are unclear, and Kira is left wondering from just whom she should
protect her niece. Is the child safe living with wild animals?
Kari Thomas’s TEMPTATION UNLEASHED is a quick
read with tantalizing romance and animated characters. It’s
hard not to fall in love with the Calhoun family as they band
together to protect their own. This is a great book to kick back
and relax with at the end of the day.
