Thomas Argeneau is the one considered irresponsible, flighty, and just plain unreliable. However, when his Aunt Marguerite goes missing, Thomas is sent to find her. Bastion sends Thomas off to London, Marguerite’s last known location, and assigns Inez Urso, one of Argeneau Enterprises' top executives, to assist him.

Inez has worked hard to become a top executive at Argeneau, and has recently received a promotion to the highest echelon of the company. As with all those at the highest level at Argeneau, Inez met with Bastion prior to her promotion, but unlike those promoted before her, Bastion forgot one little detail. He forgot to tell Inez that the Argeneaus are vampires -- and then test her to see if you could be trusted to keep the secret. He also neglects to mention this fact to Thomas. Can you see where this is going?

Thomas is stressed, hungry, and tired. Inez is just pissed at Thomas’s arrogance, and when he suddenly attacks her, biting her neck, she’s ready to call the police or stake him. After much reassurance that he’s not an evil creature from hell, simply a vampire, Inez reluctantly agrees to help him search for Marguerite. However, she is holding the stake in reserve, just in case.

As Thomas and Inez’s search for Marguerite leads them to Amsterdam, the attraction each felt from the moment they met increases. Thomas knows Inez is meant for him, but first he has to find Marguerite and convince Inez he’s not a soulless demon. Oh, and avoid the people who seem intent on stopping them in their search.

Will Inez accept Thomas, and the passion he offers? Will Thomas find Marguerite? Will they elude those bent on stopping them? And where is Marguerite?

VAMPIRES ARE FOREVER, the eighth novel in the wildly popular Argeneau series, is one of the best. Those familiar with the series will remember Thomas from previous novels. Thomas the light-hearted, never take anything-serious vampire. In VAMPIRES ARE FOREVER, readers will learn that Thomas is much more than anyone knew. He is dedicated, tenacious and passionate -- especially about Inez. Inez is an independent woman. She is not looking for romance, and she never would have imagined someone like Thomas existed. However, she can’t deny the attraction she feels for him, or that she has a hard time keeping her hands off him, even if she does think he’s either insane or a demon. The relationship between Thomas and Inez is unpredictable, fun, passionate and all consuming. Secondary characters include several of the Argeneau clan and add moments of humor to the tale.

VAMPIRES ARE FOREVER is darker in tone that the previous novels. Marguerite has disappeared, and her family is frantic to find her. Thomas is a more serious man than previously thought, and his mission to find Marguerite is fraught with danger both to himself and to Inez. A wonderful tale filled with romance, suspense, and a bit of humor makes VAMPIRES ARE FOREVER a thoroughly enjoyable read. Run, don’t walk to get your copy of VAMPIRES ARE FOREVER.
