McCoy Avon ISBN: 9780-06-134143-4 March 2008 Romantic Comedy w/ Paranormal Elements New York City ~ Present Day Zoë Degodessa is a muse and the daughter of Zeus. Zoë’s father sent her and her sisters to earth for a year to prove their worth by inspiring mortals, and since Zoë’s forte is providing beauty, she’s a display window dresser. Approached by a stranger named Theo Maragos, a millionaire software developer, Zoë receives an offer she can hardly refuse: he wants her to redesign his apartment to ready it for a magazine shoot. Zoë could refuse, but there’s something about Theo that draws her. Theo is a geek. He’s spent his life striving to be a success and has never paid attention to his surroundings or how he dresses. Now with a photo shoot that could help with his company’s upcoming IPO, he’s willing to do whatever it takes. Even hiring Zoë. She’s beautiful, smart, and has the Midas touch when it comes to designing, and she’s even helping him to dress better. As Theo gets to know Zoë, the more mysterious she becomes. She insists she’s leaving town within two weeks and can’t promise him she’ll be back, even though her job for him will lead to overwhelming success. As they spend their days together, Theo comes to the realization that he doesn’t want Zoë to leave. Ever. A quirky concept of a deity coming to earth and living among us is the intriguing plot of MAKING OVER MR. RIGHT. Zoë might be a muse, but she has all the emotions and needs of any human being. When Theo approaches her with the offer to hire her to make over his loft, she’s reluctant at first because she won’t be around much longer, but instead she takes him on. Soon she is enjoying making over Theo and gets to know and like him. One of Zeus’s orders is that Zoë can’t have sex while on earth, but Theo is making it hard for her to resist. Theo is grateful for Zoë’s help, but soon learns they just might be a match made in heaven. A secondary romance in MAKING OVER MR. RIGHT is that of Theo’s partner, Chad, and Zoë’s friend Elise. The two get off to a bumpy start due to misunderstandings, but once that’s resolved, Chad and Elise just may get their own happily ever after. The third book in the Goddesses series, MAKING OVER MR. RIGHT can be read alone, but since the other two goddesses are just as intriguing as Zoë, it might be best to pick up ALMOST A GODDESS and ONE NIGHT WITH A GODDESS if you want to read Chloe's and Kyra’s intriguing stories. All three ladies are involved in the epilogue of MAKING OVER MR. RIGHT. Love blooms for a goddess and a geek. If you’re like me, you’ll enjoy this highly entertaining tale of love made for eternity.
