Romantic Comedy

Richmond, Virginia – Present Day

Three years ago, Taylor Hannah left her then fiancé, Richmond Rogues pitcher Brek Stryker, standing at the altar. Taylor is a thrill seeking adventure guide, and though normally nothing scares her, the thought of committing to a lifetime with Brek did. Now she’s back in town looking for a final goodbye to Brek who’s getting married to someone else. Taylor doesn’t quite know how to explain to him -- or herself -- how a man she left behind is now the man she loves and regrets leaving.

Brek still hurts from losing Taylor, but after three years he has supposedly found the perfect woman to marry in Hilary. Hilary may not provide excitement or the out of this world love he had with Taylor, but she won’t break his heart. Then one day during a game, Taylor shows up in disguise as the team mascot. All the contentment which Brek was experiencing goes flying out the door. He’s now restless and needing something…or somebody…. Could it be Taylor Hannah?

Who could forget their first love? Certainly not Taylor and Brek, who loved and planned a future together years ago, only to have it come asunder when Taylor flew the coop. She’s a thrill seeker, and the thought of being tied down scares her, but she can’t deny the passion that’s between her and Brek. She’s back in town for a week and plans to say her final goodbye to him and walk away. Alas, it’s hard to say goodbye to the man you still love with all your heart.

Brek wouldn’t do anything to hurt his fiancée, Hilary, but he hasn’t forgotten the desire which runs hot and heavy between him and Taylor. The old feelings are awakened, and circumstances make him see that he hasn’t stopped loving Taylor. Will he do the one thing he promised he wouldn’t do: leave Hilary standing at the altar?

A secondary romance involves Taylor’s sister, Eve, and Brek’s teammate, Sloan McCaffrey, that is cute and funny. Eve has phobias and is just the opposite of her thrill seeking sister. At times, their tale takes up a good portion of STRIKE ZONE, but never too much to overshadow Taylor and Brek’s story. Add in Brek’s baseball teammates and the folks of Richmond, and readers get one rollicking story that scores a homerun.

A couple gets a second chance at love, and readers will enjoy this quirky and entertaining romance. March to your nearest bookstore and catch your copy of STRIKE ZONE.
