Paris, France - Present Day

Secret Designation Defense Unit (SDDU) operative Parker McCall is in Paris trying to track down a terrorist when he learns that the Russian Embassy in Paris has been overtaken by rebels, and an American consul is one of the hostages. Parker's new mission is to extract the American woman with as little hassle as possible, and for Parker, this mission is personal. The consul is Kate Hamilton, Parker's former fiancée, and the woman he still loves.

With the Russian authorities keeping a lid on the situation, and no other SDDU agents nearby, Parker is on his own. While he gets to Kate with relative ease, leaving will not be as simple as he'd hoped. Kate has always been a person who will go out of her way to help others, and she has no intention of getting safely out of the building while the other hostages are left behind. Plus, the ambassador's wife and two daughters are hiding somewhere, and Kate won't leave until she knows they are safe. Being with Kate while they attempt a rescue and evade the rebels reminds Parker of everything they've lost, but now that his secret is out and she knows what he really does for a living, is there a chance he can win her back?

72 HOURS is a fast-paced and intense adventure story. What should have been a simple extraction turns into something dangerous and deadly as Kate and Parker race against time to get themselves and the hostages to safety. Their engagement ended because Kate felt that Parker was keeping secrets from her, and the time they spent apart made her doubt their commitment to one another. Now, seeing him in action and learning the secrets he was keeping, Kate begins to wonder if she wasn't a little quick to judge. Besides, between what she knew of Parker before, and seeing the soldier he is now, Kate knows that if anyone can get her and her fellow hostages out alive, it's he. Parker has always regretted letting Kate go, but also feels that it was for the best. He wasn't allowed to tell her what he really does for a living; plus, he thinks she deserves better than what he can give her. Seeing her again, however, Parker knows that he won't be able to let her go a second time.

An exciting reunion romance, 72 HOURS should not be missed.
