Florida – Present Day

After her mother’s sudden death, Anna Marcus returns to the estate where her mother worked as cook for years, to sort through her belongings. The first person she meets upon arrival is Reynaldo DeLeon, the son of the owner. Then, Anna learns Naldo’s father has also just died, a surprising turn of events. However, it gets even more shocking when Anna learns her mother was left the little cottage she lived in, and that her mother was having an affair with Naldo’s father. Anna is now scorned by Naldo and his sister. They feel Anna’s mother destroyed their family and Anna has no right to the cottage. A clash of wills soon evolves, with the arrogant Naldo demanding that Anna return the cottage and other items left to her in his father’s will.

While Anna understands Naldo’s pain, she just can’t walk away from the memories of her childhood…and Naldo. When she’s ready, she’ll sell and hope to forget the DeLeon family. Naldo makes advances on Anna; however, at the same time, he mocks her. He is hateful with his accusations, yet she still desires him as much as she did when she was younger. Naldo, for his part, is an ultra alpha male who believes in family tradition and honor. Associating with the hired help’s daughter is not acceptable, but he still can barely keep his hands off Anna. Like father, like son?

SEDUCED FOR THE INHERITANCE reads almost like a medieval tale of upper class privilege versus the lower class caste system. Thou shall not cross the invisible line that separates them. Add in Naldo’s sister Isabela, who thinks she should have inherited more of her father’s estate and, well, Anna is being bombarded from both sides. With a hero who is as strong as Naldo is and a grieving heroine, SEDUCED FOR THE INHERITANCE is difficult to read at times with all the love-hate floating around. I lost count of the times I wanted to hit Naldo over the head with his ‘you’re not good enough for the family but you’re good enough to sleep with’ attitude. But hang in there…by the end, it turns out to be a darn good story. Sometimes it takes a tragedy to make one realize when they’re wrong.

Don’t miss the intriguing SEDUCED FOR THE INHERITANCE.
