Manhattan, New York and Madrid, Spain – Present Day

Heiress Kara deMontaine is close to tears inside St. Patrick's Cathedral when the tall, suave Spaniard, Count Guillermo de Cuaron y Bautista de la Cruz, comes up from behind her and offers her a handkerchief. The next time she sees him is at the reception that follows the wedding they both were attending. All Kara really wants to do is blend in with the crowd. She always stands out. Being almost six feet tall in her stocking feet and well endowed garners lots of attention, the kind she would rather avoid. But today she's drunk quite a few martinis, and she's actually enjoying herself so much that she asks the count to dance. He insists she just call him Gui, rather than using his entire title, then he sweeps her into his arms and into the music, and for once, unlike most men, her partner towers over her and she actually feels diminutive in his embrace.

But just when Kara is enjoying being wrapped inside Gui's arms, a dark haired beauty cuts in and insists that Kara leave. And so, to prevent her leaving his side, Gui introduces Kara to the Countess Elvira de Castillo y Perez as his fiancée! Did Kara miss a step? Noooo; however, she has no choice but to smile and play along with Gui's announcement, and before long, everyone is congratulating her! Is Gui her Prince Charming? Maybe. But right now, all Kara wants is to drag him off to a quiet corner...so she can throttle him!

THE SPANISH ARISTOCRAT'S WOMAN is what the paparazzi are now calling Kara, and she hates it! She is no man’s possession! The full-of-himself Count Guillermo de Cuaron y Bautista de la Cruz might be an important aristocrat, but he is certainly no gentleman. In reality, Gui is the man Kara has long dreamed of, but she also wants love and devotion, not someone ordering her around and into his bed rather than his heart. Besides, someone like Gui is used to having beautiful women on his arm at will, small and petite women, not a large woman like Kara, whose low self-esteem keeps her from really enjoying all that she is capable of. As for Gui, he doesn't really know what he wants. His rash announcement about Kara was to keep Elvira at arm's length. They share a history he would like to forget, but can't, and now it seems he is to have a wife as well as a bothersome mistress.

This third and final book in The Sons of Privilege miniseries is a little different. Kara is no fairy princess; she’s a woman who has faced challenges in life with aplomb, and she’s no shrinking violet. Gui is used to women who fall all over their feet just to get near him, but he doesn't get that with Kara; in fact, she pushes him away. Their passion is unmatched, but is it enough to keep a lifetime commitment strong? It might be, but even though Gui expects commitment and faithfulness from Kara, he promises her no such thing, which leads to much soul-searching for Kara.

THE SPANISH ARISTOCRAT'S WOMAN stands alone without the companion novels in the Sons of Privilege series, but for a truly enriching experience, check out the two previous editions to the story, THE GREEK TYCOON'S SECRET HEIR, (January 2008), and THE WEALTHY FRENCHMAN'S PROPOSITION, (February 2008). The characters are lively, and none miss a beat as they see that the pages turn quickly in these fantastic reads! THE SPANISH ARISTOCRAT'S WOMAN is a fine addition to everyone's keeper shelf!
